| Purpose of the Church
The purpose of the Church of the Revelation is to seek out
and combine all Gnostic information and material since the beginning
of Gnosticism.
To this end it must unite all existing Gnostic communities
or individuals so that these voices can be heard by more that just
a select few. It will also
formulate its own version of Gnosticism that takes into account
our latest scientific and technological advancements while still
adhering to Gnosticism's primary precept.
“Each of us is an individual embarked upon a singular path
that we are compelled to follow in order to find our place in this
life.”
Scope of Activities
of the Church
The Church of the Revelation has been organized exclusively
for religious purposes to include making distributions to organizations
that qualify as exempt organizations under 501 (c) (3) of the Internal
Revenue Code of 1954 (or the corresponding provision of any future
United States Internal Revenue law).
The scope of our activities are as follows but not limited
to:
-
To unite all world religions into one religion that advocates
the best principles of each within the context of basic Gnostic
philosophy.
-
To live our lives in accordance to the philosophy of Gnosis.
-
To aid members of our organization and the world in meeting
their respective needs and goals.
-
To
instruct the world on Gnostic philosophy.
-
To provide mediums for artistic
expression that promote the Gnostic message through
The Foundation of Gnostic Arts which is dedicated
to the advancement of Gnostic Arts.
Organization of the
Church
The Church itself is organized as 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization
under the United States of America Internal Revenue Service Code.
It strictly adheres to the laws of the United States of America,
and the Internal Revenue Code and governs itself accordingly.
To this end it is governed by its exempt organization purpose
goals, scope of activities and duly enacted by-laws.
At the head of the organization is the primary spokesman and
final authority known as the Visionary who operates the Central
Temple. Under him is
the church's governing body known as the Council.
Under their supervision are the various Ministers that operate
temples through a granted charter in selected geographic areas.
The concept of a Gnostic temple is not to be construed to mean
a physical location as it is with other religions.
A Gnostic temple, as exemplified by
our history, is a center for the dissemination of knowledge.
The Church of the Revelation allows its ministers complete
autonomy in the operation of their respective temples as long as
they conform to basic Gnostic doctrines.
Additionally, unlike other Gnostic organizations that have
adopted the O or serpent swallowing its tail as the symbol for infinity
and creation, we have adopted the Inca symbol known as the Andean
Cross that symbolizes the three spiritual levels of reality on the
top half, their corresponding three spiritual levels of alternate
reality on the bottom half, surrounded by a circle in the center
to symbolize the most common element in the universe – a single
atom of hydrogen. After all, it is this element that unites all
of the energy in all universes. |
