The
Immortal Within
"The
Modern Gnostic Philosophy"
by Johnny Rhondo
The
Immortal Within,
is
the first of its kind to unite the two philosophical systems
of Old World Gnosticism and New World Gnosticism with recent
scientific discoveries in astronomy and physics. The result
is a Modern Gnostic Philosophy for the new Millennium.
The
book is divided into five basic
sections: an introduction into Gnosticism, an over-view of
Old World Gnosticism, an over-view of New World Gnosticism,
an over-view of recent discoveries in astro-physics, and finally
a unification of these three systems of science and philosophy
that are the foundation of Modern Gnosticism.

Brujo
"Mystic Warrior"
by Johnny Rhondo
This
action filled adventure-fantasy saga concerns a modern day
"Brujo" (the Spanish name for a sorcerer)
whose purpose and origin are often as mysterious as his unusual
powers. The book
begins with the introduction of a young idealistic Peace Corps
teacher embarked on a journey to a remote Mexican mountain
village hoping to educate willing young minds.
He assumes that he will be able to teach without the
interference and educational repression he encountered in
the United States. He
quickly discovers that he assumed too much.
He
encounters a government that encourages repression, a police
force that keeps the peace through terrorism, a band of freedom
fighters that fight valiantly but not always effectively,
a beautiful woman doomed to an unusual fate, and an old Brujo
who possesses unbelievable powers.
The young teacher will quickly find himself at odds
with the government and its sadistic police force, in sympathy
with the guerilla forces, in love with the beautiful but disgraced
woman, and the unwilling member of a mystical brotherhood.
Within a very short time he finds himself in the middle
of monumental forces intent on death and destruction and death
on a massive scale.
This
story takes place in the late 1960's and is based on the realistic
life situations that still occur in remote parts of Mexico
and Guatemala. In these forgotten places life is a cheap commodity.
While basic survival, terrorism, and intrigue are respected
virtues. |

Blood
of the Jaguar
by Johnny Rhondo
A
series of daily murders terrorizes Los Angeles whose only
common thread is claw and tooth marks on the victims.
Adrian Thompson alone suspects the killer to be her
ex-lover Richard Vasquez, professor of Archeology at UCLA.
Verifying her suspicions are their experiences in Central
America where they first became involved with the mystical
jaguar cult. At the
lost Mayan city of Seibal they discovered that the local villagers
still maintain their belief in the murderous, and immortal
shape shifter god.
In
the face of overwhelming but still circumstantial evidence,
both she and the police find themselves trailing the wrong
man. Another, more
sinister shape shifter is responsible for the murders and
Richard becomes their only real hope of ending the senseless
killing. Yet, killing
an immortal, though practically impossible, bears a price
that only few are willing to pay. |
